Melody's exposure to outreach and charity work began in Malaysia at the age of seven when she had the opportunity to visit orphanages and homes for children with special needs. Her initial reaction as a young child of apprehension and fear was soon replaced by a determination and compassion to uplift the spirits of those she met in whatever way she could. This ranged from small concerts during lunch hour to larger performances to raise much-needed funding. Since those early years, charity work holds a special place in her life as a musician- from raising money in Vancouver for the rebuilding of St. Augustine's school, in Melbourne for the St. Vincent de Paul Society, to most recently in London for the Do Good Anyway organization. If you have a cause that you would like to raise money for or a center in need of spiritual enrichment through music, she would be delighted to hear from you. Contact her here.
