Melody currently serves as Assistant Professor of Piano at Penn State University, where she teaches piano lessons and piano literature classes to undergraduate and graduate students. 

Melody has taught piano to undergraduate and non-major graduate students at Yale University and the Peabody Institute of The Johns Hopkins University. She served as Visiting Instructor of Applied Piano at Elizabethtown College, PA in the Fall of 2019, teaching Applied Piano, Music Theory, Piano Ensemble, and Class Piano. In 2016-2020 she was on the faculty of Levine Music, D.C. where she maintained a full studio of students of all ages, and the Community College of Baltimore County, where she taught Applied Piano, Ear Training and World Music.


Melody has been invited to present masterclasses internationally, for example to students and teachers at the Yamaha Canada Summer Camps in Vancouver and Toronto, at the Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts in Singapore, at UCSI and UiTM universities in Malaysia, at the Medan Music School in Medan, Indonesia, and for institutions such as Baylor University, University of Georgia, Elizabethtown College, Bucknell University, and Indiana University of Pennsylvania. She is an active member of the Music Teachers National Association as an adjudicator and conference presenter.
